"We're not shrinking or even flat," she said. "We're just not as growing as fast as we were used to."
Among the things they're doing is to develop the store's social media presence and strengthen its relationship with long time customers.
Some had criticized its branching out to sell fabric, too, but Zander said they're going to keep doing that.
"It was because we love yarn and love people," she said. "So we decided to focus on yarn and people instead of focusing on growth."
